Megara Resins made yet another donation to the National Health System, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility program “Society”.
The Board of Directors of Megara Resins decided to purchase three defibrillators and a portable vital’s monitor for the Thriasio General Hospital of Elefsina, supporting it’s basic need to modernize the hospital’s equipment.
This donation is part of the “Society” program which aims to strengthen social solidarity and support initiatives for Health, Education, Culture and Sports. This is in addition to the donation to the “Elpis” Hospital for the electrophysiological study machine and also to the funding of programs for People with Special Needs.
Megara Resins has distributed more than 1.5 million Euro in the last 10 years through its Social Corporate Responsibility program, both for the support of the society of Megara and the neighboring areas as well as the financing of initiatives and infrastructures.
In their joint statement, the initiators of the Society program, Kostas and Christos Fanis, point out:
«It is important to intervene, however one can, there, where there is a substantial need. Private initiative can be a support pillar for society and its people. In addition to this, the Society also sends a message for the undertaking of such initiatives by every company, especially in a period of economic recession»
